Privacy policy

What we collect

Account data: your email address. That is the only personal detail we ask for. There is no Google or social sign-in — you create an account with an email address and a password, and we never receive a name, surname, birthday, phone number or address.

Baby data you enter yourself: the nickname you choose for each baby, feeding times and volumes, diaper entries, temperature, weight, sleep logs, vitamins and medication, and any reminder schedules you set. You can use nicknames only — we never ask for a real name or date of birth.

Technical data needed to run the service, such as error logs and basic security records like failed sign-in attempts.

Why we collect it

We use your data only to provide Tottsee: to show your dashboard, calculate feeding intervals, sleep predictions and summaries, send the reminders you configure, and sync your entries across your devices.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or marketing, and we never sell it. There are no third-party trackers or analytics SDKs in the app.

Who can see your data

Only you. Your entries are stored under your account and protected with row-level security so no other account can read them.

A small number of authorised operators may access systems for maintenance or to resolve a support request you raise.

Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting provider, and is stored on servers in the European Union.

Sessions are protected with secure tokens that are validated on the server for every request.

Emergency contacts and medical notes

A daycare can add emergency contact details (name, relationship, phone and optional email) and a short allergy or medical note to a child's profile. This data is provided by the daycare on the basis of its duty of care and is visible only to that daycare's staff and to the child's linked parents.

Staff can download a daily emergency roll-call as a PDF and the app keeps a copy of that list on the device, so it stays readable during an evacuation without internet. That local copy is overwritten each time the list is refreshed and is removed when browser data for the app is cleared or the account signs out.

Emergency contacts are used only to reach someone during an incident — never for marketing — and are deleted together with the child profile.

Voice logging

Voice logging is optional and off unless you use it. When you hold the add button and speak, the recording is transcribed and turned into a structured entry, then discarded — we do not keep the audio, and it is never used to train any model.

You can log everything by tapping instead; voice can be disabled in Settings.

Notifications

Feeding, vitamin and medication reminders are scheduled on your device. They only run if you grant notification permission, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings or in your device settings.

On-device data

Tottsee syncs your entries securely to your account so they are available on every device you sign in on.

Theme, language and accessibility preferences are stored per device and never leave it.

Exports and sharing

PDF and CSV exports are generated from your own data for you to share with a doctor or health visitor. Once a file leaves the app it is under your control, not ours.

Subscriptions

If you buy a subscription, the payment is handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details — we only receive the purchase status linked to your account so we can unlock the paid features.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your entries are removed from our systems; short-lived backups and security logs are cleared on their normal rotation.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correct it, export it, or delete it entirely.

You can delete individual entries or your whole account at any time from the app. Deleting your account removes your baby data from our systems.

Cookies

Tottsee uses only functional cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your language, theme and accessibility settings. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's data

Tottsee is used by parents and caregivers. Information about a child is entered by the adult who owns the account, using a nickname of their choice, and is treated as that adult's personal data.

Not a medical service

Tottsee is a logbook, not a medical device. Feeding, sleep and temperature indications are estimates based on what you enter and are not medical advice.
